Deep learning has revolutionized fault diagnosis in rotary machinery, enabling high-accuracy detection from raw sensor data. Techniques like CNNs, RNNs, and transformers extract meaningful patterns from time-series signals such as vibration and sound. These models automate feature learning and outperform traditional diagnostic methods. However, real-world deployment faces challenges including limited labeled data, poor model interpretability, and generalization issues across different machines. Data scarcity is especially critical for rare or early-stage faults. To address these, strategies like transfer learning, data augmentation, self-supervised learning, and attention mechanisms are explored. Multimodal data fusion further enhances diagnostic reliability. Future directions involve integrating explainable AI, and domain adaptation to build robust, interpretable systems. These innovations are essential for scalable, real-time machinery health monitoring in industrial environments.

Hamid Reza Karimi,意大利米蘭理工大學(xué)機(jī)械工程系教授。Hamid教授的原創(chuàng)研究和開(kāi)發(fā)成果涵蓋自動(dòng)化/控制系統(tǒng)和智能系統(tǒng)等廣泛主題,并應(yīng)用于車(chē)輛、機(jī)器人和機(jī)電一體化等復(fù)雜系統(tǒng)。Hamid教授是歐洲科學(xué)院院士、歐洲科學(xué)與藝術(shù)學(xué)院院士、挪威阿格德科學(xué)與文學(xué)院院士、國(guó)家人工智能學(xué)院(NAAI)院士、玻利維亞國(guó)家科學(xué)院榮譽(yù)院士、國(guó)際聲學(xué)與振動(dòng)研究所(IIAV)杰出院士、國(guó)際狀態(tài)監(jiān)測(cè)學(xué)會(huì)(ISCM)會(huì)員、亞太人工智能協(xié)會(huì)(AAIA)會(huì)員、同時(shí)也是IFAC機(jī)電系統(tǒng)技術(shù)委員會(huì)成員、IFAC魯棒控制技術(shù)委員會(huì)成員、IFAC汽車(chē)控制技術(shù)委員會(huì)成員、國(guó)際聲學(xué)與振動(dòng)學(xué)會(huì)(IIAV)董事會(huì)成員和國(guó)際狀態(tài)監(jiān)測(cè)學(xué)會(huì)(ISCM)管理委員會(huì)成員。Hamid教授是2025年NAAI杰出人工智能學(xué)者獎(jiǎng)、2021年BINDT CM創(chuàng)新獎(jiǎng)、科學(xué)網(wǎng)高被引工程研究員、August-Wilhelm-Scheer客座教授獎(jiǎng)、JSPS(日本科學(xué)促進(jìn)會(huì))研究獎(jiǎng)和Alexander-von-Humboldt-Stiftung研究獎(jiǎng)的獲得者。Hamid教授曾擔(dān)任施普林格、CRC Press和愛(ài)思唯爾的主編和叢書(shū)編輯,還參加了控制系統(tǒng)、機(jī)器人和機(jī)電一體化領(lǐng)域的幾個(gè)國(guó)際會(huì)議,擔(dān)任總主席、主題/全體發(fā)言人、杰出發(fā)言人或項(xiàng)目主席。Hamid教授曾擔(dān)任“Lombardia è ricerca”國(guó)際大獎(jiǎng)副主席,也是將在意大利米蘭舉行的2026年世界狀態(tài)監(jiān)測(cè)大會(huì)(WCCM2026)擔(dān)任大會(huì)主席。Hamid教授還是英國(guó)哈德斯菲爾德大學(xué)計(jì)算機(jī)與工程學(xué)院的榮譽(yù)客座教授。
